2 Brampton Indians arrested for looting warehouses

BRAMPTON: Peel Police have arrested two Indian-origin men for a series of break-ins into warehouses and stealing goods in Brampton.

Police said during the month of April 2021, two warehouses in Brampton were broken into resulting in merchandise destined for retail stores being stolen, along with personal property belonging to employees at the warehouse.

Upon investigation, two suspects were identified as Jaskaran Virdee, 21, and Himanshu Sandal, 36, both of Brampton.

Police also raided a residential property in Brampton and recovered $23,000 worth of stolen property, including items associated with several other businesses.

Both have been charged with break-ins, using stolen credit cards, possession of stolen property over $5,000, trafficking in stolen property, and possession of break and enter tools.
