CHANDIGARH, (AVTAR SINGH): The ShiromaniGurdwaraParbandhak Committee (SGPC) has opened Covid Care Centre in SahibzadaAjit Singh Public School near GurdwaraJamni Sahib, Bazidpur, Ferozepur district, Punjab. The center with 25 beds is set to provide both oxygen concentrators and availability of specialist doctors at zero cost to the patients.
The center will provide free basic treatment to Covid-19 patients, besides having the arrangements to shift critical patients to various hospitals in case of an emergency. Similar facilities are already operational at GurdwaraManji Sahib, Alamgir in Ludhiana, TakhtDamdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda, and Royal Resorts in Bholath (Kapurthala).
SGPC president JagirKaur said that SGPC is opening such centres to help the people who, in the present situation, are facing a lot of difficulties in getting access to treatment. She said, “This centre at Bazidpur would be of great help to the people of the area.” Kaur added, “Similar centres are being set up at Sangrur, Ropar and Patiala also.”
