MUMBAI: In an open letter to Mahira Sharma, the authorities of Dadasaheb Phalke Internation Film Festival (DPIFF) have asked her to share a written public apology or else she’ll face legal consequences.
TV actress and model Mahira Sharma, who became a household name with her stint in Bigg Boss 13, has landed herself in a huge controversy.
This all started when Mahira posted an Instagram story on 20th February 2020 flaunting that she has received a certificate of appreciation at the DPIFF award ceremony for being “The Most Fashionable Contestant Of Bigg Boss 13.”
From then on, Mahira’s story has been copied and reposted by the fan pages on social media platforms along with multiple media houses who posted the same as news on their websites.
When this came into the notice of DPIFF officials, they took no time and released a statement on Mahira for sharing the fraudulent certificate.
Along with the pictures of an authentic certificate and the fake certificate, which Mahira shared on her social media, DPIFF shared a long note on social media.
