WASHINGTON: Bill Gates Sr., a lawyer and the father of Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates, died on Monday from Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 94.
William H. Gates II helped his son establish what became the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
“My dad was the ‘real’ Bill Gates. He was everything I try to be and I’ll miss him every day,” Bill Gates wrote.
“The experience of being the son of Bill Gates was incredible. People used to ask my dad if he was the real Bill Gates. The truth is, he was everything I try to be. I will miss him every day,” he said in the tribute.
