OTTAWA: Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said Canada will be deploying 69 more fire management personnel to Australia to battle the country’s devastating wildfires.

Personnel perform a variety of functions, like crew assignments, fire behaviour analysis, coordination of aerial attack, and logistics.
More than 200 bush fires continue to rage across Australia, with the two most populated states of New South Wales and Victoria bearing the brunt of the damage.
