Canadian Government honoured Pawan Dewan for re-connecting NRIs to its roots
TORONTO: The Canadian government has praised the chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Pawan Dewan for his efforts to re-connect the NRI community to its roots.
MPP of Brampton West, Amarjot Sandhu and MPP of Mississauga Malton, Deepak Anand especially honoured Pawan Dewan.
Moreover, a complimentary letter from the Government of Canada was also given to Dewan.
The testimonials mentioned Dewan’s efforts towards strengthening friendly relations between India and Canada.
MPP Amarjot Sandhu said that India is his birthplace and relations between the two countries have been strengthened.
Whereas, MPP Deepak Anand said that he extends his sincere welcome to Pawan Dewan and appreciates Dewan’s initiatives.
Expressing his gratitude, Dewan said that the NRI community has not only made a significant contribution to Canada’s progress but can also play a vital role in Punjab’s development.
Notably, Dewan cited the steps taken by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to solve the problems faced by the NRI community.
Apart from Amarjot and Deepak, President Indian Overseas Congress Canada, Amarpreet Aulakh and Bhupinder Grewal were also present.
