BEIJING, CHINA: A bus and some pedestrians in China were swallowed by a huge sinkhole, leaving six people dead and 10 more missing, reports a state media on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 pm (0930 GMT) outside a hospital in the capital of Qinghai province, Xining on Monday.
CCTV footage of the incident shows people at a bus stop running from the collapsing road as the bus sank halfway into the ground and other half jutting into the air.
In the video clip, several people disappeared into the sinkhole as it spread.
The incident sparked an explosion inside the hole.
According to state-run CCTV broadcaster, search and rescue work was in progress and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
CCTV added that 16 people had been taken to hospital.
