Centre invites farmers for another round of talks

NEW DELHI: The Central Government has again sent an invite to farmer organizations and reiterated that it was open for talks on all issues.

In a letter sent by Vivek Aggarwal Joint Secretary to  40 farmer leaders, the government has once again left the selection of date and time of meeting on the farmers though it has said that venue will be Vigyan Bhawan Delhi.

Braving the harsh cold, thousands of agitating farmers at Delhi borders remained steadfast in their demands to repeal the Centre’s three new farm laws.

“Govt is committed to reaching logical solutions of the issues raised by you,” the letter reads.

Read the letter below:

While the Centre is firm the laws will not be scrapped and has proposed amendments, farmer ‘jathebandis’ and unions continue to be equally firm on their stance. Demanding a total repeal of the laws, they are also accusing the government of “maligning” their agitation.
