COVID-19: 21-year-old tests positive in Chandigarh, city’s count rise to 7

CHANDIGARH: A fresh case of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was reported in Chandigarh on Monday morning, taking the total number of people infected in the UT to seven.

The 21-year-old man, who is a resident of Sector 38, had encountered the brother of Chandigarh’s first coronavirus patient. He has been admitted in the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32.

In a press release, the administration announced that all seven patients are stable.

Chandigarh’s first case was reported on March 18th.

A 23-year-old woman, who returned from London, was the city’s first positive coronavirus case.

Later, her mother, brother, friend, masseuse and cook had also tested positive for the deadly virus.
