COVID-19: 8 Air Passengers Found Infected In Mohali

MOHALI: Eight air passengers were tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Mohali. All these had travelled from different destinations to Mohali by air.

Disclosing this Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan in a tweet informed that 8 positive cases of the 133 random samples of 252 total taken from the incoming passenger of domestic flights at Mohali Airport on May 25 – all were asymptomatic.

Of the eight domestic passengers, there are 3 of Mohali and 5 of other districts of Punjab.

The Civil Surgeon, Dr Manjit Singh, said that the three domestic passengers, who had tested corona positive, were a woman from Zirakpur and two men from Phase I and Sector 67.

Dr Manjit Singh said five other domestic passengers — two from Ludhiana and one each from Patiala, Barnala and Jalandhar.
