COVID-19: Global death toll crosses 2.907 million

WORLD DESK:  The global death toll from COVID-19 crossed 2.907 million on Friday, while the total number of cases went past 134.3 million, said the US-based Johns Hopkins University in its latest update.

The Johns Hopkins University is the most credible institution that tracks statistics regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of Friday, the number of cases detected globally till now stood at 134,321,953, including 2,907,968 fatalities.

The United States still leads the world in case count with 31,064,031 detected cases, while fatalities stands at 2,907,968.
