NEW DELHI: Delhi government has decided to cancel all Delhi state universities’ exams including final exams, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish tweeted on Saturday.

The Delhi government’s decision comes in light of the major disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sisodia further said that the students will be promoted or degrees will be awarded based on evaluation parameters decided by the universities.

Besides, CM Arvind Kejriwal has written to PM Narendra Modi, urging him to personally intervene and cancel final year exams of Delhi University and other central government universities.

Kejriwal said exams should be cancelled for the sake of our youth and to save their future. In the letter, he said UGC’s decision to carry out final year exams is “wrong”.
