NEW DELHI: In another success for agencies, Fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari was rearrested from South Africa early on Saturday.
Pujari was nabbed from a village in South Africa by the Senegal authorities in a joint operation with India’s RAW and Mangaluru Police.
The underworld don Ravi Pujari will be extradited to India soon. And according to Interpol India, the extradition process is already underway.
Sources said senior officials from the Union home ministry and foreign affairs ministry had been coordinating with Senegal authorities to get Pujari deported at the earliest.
As per the media reports, a team from Karnataka police is presently in Senegal to complete the extradition process as the Supreme Court of Senegal has rejected Pujari’s plea against his extradition to India.
