NEW DELHI: Centre has released SOPs for passengers arriving from UK due to new variant of coronavirus.
The arriving passengers will have to take an RT-PCR test and those testing positive for the new variant will be isolated in a separate isolation facility.
Contacts of COVID-19 positive passengers who arrived between December 21 and 23 will be subjected to institutional quarantine.

Earlier in the day, Delhi airport authorities have said that five out of 266 passengers and crew members on a flight, which arrived at Delhi airport from UK’s London last night, have tested COVID-19 positive.
Their samples have been sent to NCDC for research and they’ve been sent to a care centre, authorities added.
The UK has reported a new coronavirus strain, calling it highly infectious.
