CHANDIGARH: Triple Olympian and hockey legend Balbir Singh (Senior) suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday morning and is very critical.
The 96-year-old, who has tested negative for novel coronavirus, is currently on a ventilator in a Mohali hospital.
In a statement on Twitter, Singh’s grandson Kabir said: “His condition had improved slightly but was & is still critical now. Doctors will be continuously assessing his condition over the next 24-48 hours before any further statements about His condition are issued. He continues to be on ventilator assistance.”
