HARYANA, JANUARY 14: Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (HSCFDC) has provided financial assistance of over 17.56 crore including Rs.1.34 crore as subsidy among 2211 beneficiaries under various schemes during the current financial year, up to December 2019.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department said that members belonging to Scheduled Castes were being provided loans under various categories so as to enable them to set up their ventures and make them self-employable. These categories included agriculture and allied, industrial, trade and business, professional and self-employment sectors. Financial assistance under schemes assisted by National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) was also being provided to them.
He said that under agriculture and allied sector, over Rs 6.97 crore loans for dairy and piggery farming, sheep rearing, and jhota buggi or camel cart or mule cart were disbursed among 1248 beneficiaries up to December, this year. Out of which, more than Rs 6.31 crore had been released as a bank loan, over Rs. 66.15 lakh as subsidy and Rs. 20,000 as margin money.
He said that Rs 19.20 lakh had been provided among 26 beneficiaries under industrial sector scheme, out of which, more than Rs 14.68 lakh had been released as a bank loan, over Rs. 2.60 lakh as subsidy and Rs. 1.92 lakh as margin money.
He said that over Rs 5.57 crore among 736 beneficiaries under trade and business sector, out of which, more than Rs 4.39 crore had been released as a bank loan, over Rs. 62.43 lakh as subsidy and Rs. 55.65 lakh as margin money. Similarly, Rs.1 lakh had been released under professional and self-employment sector, out of which, Rs 80,000 had been released as a bank loan, Rs. 10,000 as subsidy and Rs. 10,000 as margin money.
He said that financial assistance of over Rs 4.66 crore had also been released by the corporation among 182 beneficiaries under the schemes assisted by NSFDC. Out of this, NSFDC share is 4.19 crore and a sum of Rs. 42.95 lakh was shared by HSFDC, he added. Apart from this an amount of 3.70 lakh was given as the subsidy.
