NEW DELHI: India has reported 23,067 new COVID-19 cases and 336 more deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 1,01,46,845 and the death toll to 1,47,092.
Further, as many as 24,661 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.
The COVID-19 active caseload in the country remained below three lakh for the fourth consecutive day.
The number of active cases in the country stood at 2,81,919, according to data from Health Ministry.

India’s COVID-19 infection tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.
