KOLKATA: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma may step into the shoes of former Indian captain of women’s cricket team Jhulan Goswami.
Anushka, who has been on a hiatus from work for a year now, has signed her first film post Zero and she is turning cricketer now, say reports.
The latest buzz suggests that the actress has started shooting for the film’s teaser at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
Pictures of the Team India Captain Virat Kohli’s other half Anushka Sharma dressed in a cricket jersey and walking alongside Jhulan have surfaced online. Reports claim that Anushka was also joined by 10 real-life women cricketers for the shoot.
Even though there are no official announcements yet, but the pictures on social media suggest that a biopic on Jhulan Goswami is in the works.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’. The movie also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
Despite not having a single release in 2019, the “Sui Dhaaga” actress continued to be active in the entertainment industry through her production house “Clean Slate Films” and fashion label “Nush.”
