Kapil Dev suffers heart attack, undergoes angioplasty at Delhi hospital

MUMBAI: India’s 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty at a hospital in Delhi today.

Former cricketer Madan Lal said in a tweet that Kapil Dev was taken to the hospital in time after he complained of uneasiness. The procedure has been successful according to the doctors and he will be home soon.

“Just saw him playing at Delhi Golf Club a couple of days ago. He has lost a lot of weight. Literally with little muscle mass on arms,” ex-diplomat KC Singh tweeted.
