The Nightingale of Bollywood, Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital early Monday (November 11, 2019) morning after she complained of breathing difficulties.
Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar continued to be critical on Tuesday (November 12) but doctors said her condition had not deteriorated further.
There have been mixed statements as on the one hand, Lata’s PR team said she was “stable”. There are reports that “She is critical, but her condition has slowly improved”.
The Bollywood playback legend is suffering from pneumonia, heart problems and viral chest congestion. She is on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
According to her family, Lata is fighting the illness like a fighter.
Family members of the melody queen have requested fans and followers to give them some space.

Lata Mangeshkar recorded her latest song this year ‘Saugandh Mujhe Is Mitti Ki’ as a tribute to the Indian Arm. The song was released on March 30.
Ms Mangeshkar has lent her voice to thousands of songs in Hindi, regional and foreign languages.
In recognition of her contributions to the nation, the 90-year-old singer was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour
Last full album of the Nightingale of India was for the late filmmaker Yash Chopra-directed 2004 film Veer Zaara.
