NEW YORK: A medical student from Indian Diaspora fell to his death while jumping between rooftops in the city of Philadelphia.
The victim was identified as the 23-year-old third-year Drexel College of Medicine student Vivek Subramani.
Vivek was found dead on the 1200 block of Buttonwood Street, police said.
Two of his pals — also medical students — told police that they had been drinking at an earlier event and then went rooftop-jumping, the report said.
After Subramani fell, the group he was with rushed to where he landed and found him lying unresponsive in a pool of his own blood. His friends tried giving him CPR until medics arrived.
The Indian –American student Subramani was then taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said there were no signs of foul play and are currently conducting an investigation.

Members of Subramani’s fraternity, Sigma Beta Rho, set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his funeral costs.
