LOS ANGELES: Indian composer A. R. Rahman was honoured with two Oscars in 2009 for his song “Jai ho” in 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire. The foot-tapping number ‘Jai ho’ made it to an original song montage at this year’s Oscars ceremony. A. R. Rahman had struck gold for original song and original score in Danny Boyle directorial “Slumdog Millionaire“. On February 9, American composer-lyricist-actor Lin-Manuel Miranda presented the montage that included best original songs that have won big at the Academy Awards. The montage included hits from “Slumdog Millionaire“, “Titanic” and “Wayne’s World“. It concluded with Eminem from the 2002 American hip-hop drama film “8 Mile“. American rapper Eminem himself hit the stage to perform “Lose yourself“. The rapper even got a standing ovation after his performance. “Look, if you had another shot, another opportunity… Thanks for having me @TheAcademy.
