LUCKNOW: PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday performed ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ and laid the foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Modi had first visited the Hanuman Garhi Temple after arriving in Ayodhya.
The ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP leader Uma Bharti and yoga guru Baba Ramdev among others.
During the Bhoomi Pujan for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday, a priest said, “Nine bricks are kept here…these were sent by devotees of Lord Ram from around the world in 1989.” “There are 2,75,000 such bricks out of which 100 bricks with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ engraved on them have been taken,” the priest added.
The Prime Minister Narendra left for Ayodhya on Wednesday morning. The Prime Minister’s Office shared a picture of Modi boarding an Air Force plane. He was dressed in traditional dhoti-kurta.
