BATALA: Punjabi singer Preet Harpal had recently posted a video on Tik-Tok which was strongly objected to by Sikh organizations.
In the video, Preet was seen singing his new song ‘Navin Bhasuri’ on coronavirus.
While reciting the song, the singer vocalized some controversial verses about Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
As the Tik-Tok clip went viral, it was strongly condemned by the people on social media, after which Preet deleted the video and apologized on Facebook.
Besides, Sikh organizations demanded action on the singer.
Following which, Preet Harpal today paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and tendered an apology for his song that created controversy.
The singer apologized in the office of Akal Takht chief Giani Harpreet Singh and said that ‘I should be forgiven for my mistake’.
