Pulwama Attack: Photos removed of Pak prime minister include Cricketers from stadiums
Imran Khan and Wasim Akram, including 13 cricketer players photos replaced from Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharmshala. The photos of Shoaib Akhtar, Javed Miandad and Shahid Afridi were also removed among others. HPCA stadium Manager Col H.S. Manhas told, “We have decided to remove all the photos of Pakistani players from our stadium to express solidarity with the families of CRPF martyred troopers in Pulwama attack.” According to officials, majority of the removed photos were of warm-up tie between India and Pakistan. In 2005, this stadium hosted a warm-up tie between the Indian Board President’s XI and the touring Pakistan team. Moreover , not only from HPCA stadium , the pictures of Pakistani players also removed from various stadium of India such as Jaipur, Mohali . On the other hand, current prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s photos also take down from stadium’s premises . Meanwhile, this step was taken as the reaction of Pulwama attack in which 44 CRPF Jawans lost their lives . The attack was carried out by supposedly by Pakistani citizens backed by the government.
