While all political parties of Punjab have started preparations for 2022 elections, but state residents are fed up with almost all parties including Congress, SAD, BJP and AAP. The residents do not have any hope from any party and chorus to select “reject all” option has been gaining ground.
The congress has been facing severe criticism from across Punjab as the party has failed to fulfil poll promises even after more than three years of coming to power. The number of unemployed has soared in the state since the formation of Congress government despite the claims of Punjab CM for Ghar Ghar Rozgar.
Health, education and other facilities have taken a worse turn as neither Punjab CM nor his ministers are serious to undertake required steps to bring much-needed improvement in the state. Punjab CM and his government have also been facing serious flak for their failure in ending the drugs from the state as Punjab CM had promised to eradicate drugs from the state within days of the formation of his government.
SAD-BJP leaders have been facing flak for central farm ordinances and sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib during their tenure.
In fact, an internal fight has erupted between the leaders of both parties as BJP leaders have been trying to strengthen their base in Punjab to contest 2022 elections independently while SAD leaders are opposing them.
The ray of hope for state AAP has also come under flak as its leaders are acting immaturely and Punjab Chief Bhagwant Mann has started claiming to be the CM of Punjab in 2022 without any approval of senior party leaders. The projection of Mann for CM post has annoyed many other aspirants and presently AAP has been divided into many groups.
In the given scenario, Punjab residents do not have any hope from any political party and the coming days will be more challenging for all parties.
