HAMILTON: A 28-year-old youth from Punjab died in Canada due to multiple organ failures and brain hemorrhage.
The deceased has been identified as Tarandeep Singh.
Meanwhile, a ‘gofundme‘ campaign has been launched to raise money to send the body of Tarandeep to India.
As per information shared on a fundraiser portal Gofundme, Tarandeep Singh was admitted at the hospital in Niagara, Ontario on 07/09/2021 with a fever, then referred to a hospital in St. Catherines, Ontario.
“He was put on a ventilator in St. Catherines by doctors to analyze the problem further as they were not able to detect the main reason for the problem. By Monday morning his condition worsened and was referred to Hamilton General Hospital as the doctors couldn’t help improve his condition. On reaching Hamilton his organs started failing one at a time and he took his last breath on 07/19/2021 evening, with the doctors not being sure of the reason for his sudden death”, said GoFundme organizer Komalpreet Kaur.
It is said that Tarandeep was the only child of his parents and migrated to Canada for better career opportunities.
