CHANDIGARH: “We are in favour of opening Kartarpur Corridor with precaution to fight Covid,” said Capt Amarinder Singh, while addressing a press conference today.
Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh added that if the Government of India asked our opinion on the opening of Kartarpur Corridor, we will say yes.
On the question of PM Relief Fund receiving money from China, the CM said it should be returned.
“Every single Chinese penny should be returned,” Amarinder Singh said.
“It is time the Centre took a tough stand on China,” the Chief Minister said with reference to the controversy over donations being received from Chinese companies.
While commenting on lockdown extension, the Punjab CM said that by the end of this financial year, Punjab could suffer an estimated financial loss of Rs 30 thousand crores.
CM said that only time will tell about the extension or end of the lockdown.
Capt Amarinder Singh held his first press conference after the curfew/lockdown was imposed in March. He also said that former CM Parkash Singh Badal and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal not nominated in Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan firing cases.
