Winter storm hits Canada; Brings wind chill, snow and rain

There are still extreme cold and winter weather warning in place from southern Ontario to Newfoundland and Labrador. Parts of Quebec and New Brunswick could hit -50 degree Celsius with wind chill. Ottawa and Toronto could feel like -30degree or colder. It’s not predicted to warm up until the middle of the week and even then only briefly. The cold weather caused huge delays to public transportation during the morning commute in Toronto and kept school buses off the road in many districts. In New Brunswick, there are still shuffling out after the province was hit with up to 35 cm of snow since Sunday. People have been told to stay off the roads and sidewalks. According to Environment Canada, GTA will be feeling wind chills of -30 degrees to -38 degree certainly. On Sunday night, a fleet of 1,000 snow plows started the job to clear the road and sidewalks.
