LAHORE: Zimbabwe head coach and former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput has been sidelined from the Pakistan tour upon request of the Indian government representatives, said Zimbabwe Cricket.
The Indian embassy in Harare has refrained Rajput from traveling to Pakistan despite the Pakistan embassy already issuing him a visa.
Rajput was appointed as Zimbabwe’s full-time coach in August 2018.
The Zimbabwean team is scheduled to play three ODIs against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, starting October 30, before moving to Lahore for three T20Is.
This will be Zimbabwe’s first tour of Pakistan since 2015.
